A Real Conversation

posted by Kristie

This is from my afternoon with Yi-fei. I think it’s also pretty unique to a Chinese seminary.

Yi-fei: (points to Ellie) So does she have a Chinese name?

Kristie: Yes, it’s Mu-xi.

Yi-fei: Good. Because my dad’s English isn’t very good. He only knows Greek.

(I think this was in preparation of telling his dad all about our afternoon together, because later they were walking together and saw me. Yi-fei pointed at me and said to his dad, “That one! That’s the auntie!”)
