A Real Conversation

Kristie: Ellie, guess what we’re going to do today!

Ellie: Laundry!!!

Kristie: (laughs) Well, yes, but that wasn’t the exciting thing (because we do that everyday). We’re going to the market!

Ellie: Mar-ket!

Kristie: Do you know who lives at the market?

Ellie: Chickens!!

Kristie: Right! Chickens live at the market. And who else?

Ellie: Doggie!!

Kristie: That’s right, we see O-A (a little black dog owned by the chicken seller) at the market. Anyone else?

Ellie: (thinks)

Kristie: (pops lips as a hint)

Ellie: Fish!!

Kristie: Yeah! We get to see the fish at the market too! So let’s go.

Ellie: (runs to her stroller)
