Watching the World Go By
One of Abram’s favorite past times is watching the cars and people pass by below our window. The rails on our bed also make a pretty good place to teethe. (Note: This has long been one of Ellie’s favorite past times.)
“Oh, it’s you mom.”
“Hiiiii!”
“Aren’t I handsome?”
“Yes, dear. Drooly, but handsome.”
A Flower for Sunday
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

She Works Hard For Her Money
Last spring Ellie modeled for a Roberta di Camerino catalogue here in Taiwan. And now…a mere five months later…we have finally received the catalogue, scanned the images, processed the images and loaded them onto the blog for your viewing pleasure.
Cute, huh? What do you think? Does it make you want to buy these clothes?

A Real Conversation
This week I have a cute little conversation that requires a lot of background. So, this might be a bit more like a blog post with a conversation tacked on at the end. Or you could consider it a little bonus update about Ellie.
Several weeks ago Ellie started pretending she was a pony. She walks [...]
THEY’RE HERE!
Hey!
This handsome fella has some big news!
THEY’RE HEEEEERE!!!!(his two tiny bottom teeth, that is)
How about a close up?(they are pretty tiny)
Phew! We didn’t think those little guys would ever come through.
Small Things
Even cough syrup can be beautiful, when the light strikes it just so. Especially when it’s the last dose for *hopefully* a very, very long time.
Not Me! Monday
I did NOT, NOT, NOT, at any time the past week, during a mad rush out the door to make it to the doctor on time, snap Abram up out of his highchair and then lick the seaweed off his face as I crammed him into the Ergo.
NO-OOO, NOT ME!
(aaaand, I think that’s about [...]
A Flower for Sunday
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save;he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love;he will exult over you with loud singing.

Sick and Sicker
My kids are sick.
In Taiwan the weather is perfectly good for only one or two weeks out of the year. I call them California days. Not too hot, not too cold, not raining, not all that humid. Perfect. That was last week. And boy did we hit it hard. We were out all [...]
A Couple of Good Books on Parenting
I recently read this bit on child rearing in Boundaries with Kids by Cloud and Townsend…
Is what you are doing being done on purpose? Or are you doing it from reasons that you do not think about, such as your own personality, childhood, need of the moment, or fears?
Thwack, thwack…Thwack, thwack…
Did you hear that? That [...]
