Watching the World Go By

One of Abram’s favorite past times is watching the cars and people pass by below our window. The rails on our bed also make a pretty good place to teethe. (Note: This has long been one of Ellie’s favorite past times.)

“Oh, it’s you mom.”

“Hiiiii!”

“Aren’t I handsome?”
“Yes, dear. Drooly, but handsome.”

She Works Hard For Her Money

Last spring Ellie modeled for a Roberta di Camerino catalogue here in Taiwan. And now…a mere five months later…we have finally received the catalogue, scanned the images, processed the images and loaded them onto the blog for your viewing pleasure.

NO-OOO, NOT ME!

(aaaand, I think that’s about [...]

Sick and Sicker

My kids are sick.
In Taiwan the weather is perfectly good for only one or two weeks out of the year. I call them California days. Not too hot, not too cold, not raining, not all that humid. Perfect. That was last week. And boy did we hit it hard. We were out all [...]

A Couple of Good Books on Parenting

I recently read this bit on child rearing in Boundaries with Kids by Cloud and Townsend…
Is what you are doing being done on purpose? Or are you doing it from reasons that you do not think about, such as your own personality, childhood, need of the moment, or fears?
Thwack, thwack…Thwack, thwack…
Did you hear that? That [...]
