Kristie: Abram is going to have a banana. Do you want one, Ellie? Ellie: No. I don’t like bananas anymore. Kristie: That’s right. I already knew that. Do you think you might like bananas again some day? Ellie: Maybe on Saturday.
Jason: (reading) “J is for jam.” Ellie, what kind of jam to you like? Ellie: Berry! jam. Jason: What kind of berries? Ellie: Chocolate berries!
Ellie: Mommy, are our caterpillars real? Kristie: What do you think Ellie? Ellie: Well…they ate the leaves… Kristie: Indeed. They did eat the leaves. Well, our caterpillars are made of paper. And maybe paper caterpillars like to eat paper leaves. Ellie: (total acceptance of logic) Yeah!
